Hung Tao Shen

Distinguished Research Professor
Hung Tao Shen Headshot

Biography

Dr. Shen enjoys collaboration with international colleagues. His main research interest is in cold regions hydraulic engineering. He has introduced the analytical framework for river ice processes. He also developed the transport capacity theory for frazil ice jams and the theory on ice jam dynamics. His research group has developed comprehensive computer models for river ice processes. These models have been applied to rivers worldwide.
